Activision Blizzard sees monthly gaming users reach 428m

An overview of Activision Blizzard's monthly gaming users and revenue during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Gaming company Activision Blizzard has added 21m (+5.2%) monthly active users across its titles to reach 428m in the second quarter of 2020, according to the latest company reports.

The King segment, focused on mobile games including Candy Crush, proves most popular. It recorded 271m monthly active users in Q2, thought this was 3m lower than in Q1 but 22m higher than in the final three months of 2019.

The company also reports that King's advertising revenue grew strongly year-on-year in Q2 and growth accelerated through the quarter.
