Six-in-ten Britons think it is unacceptable to buy key products like toilet roll and non-perishable food in bulk during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, according to research from Ipsos MORI.

As a result, most consumers are likely to support the recent move of supermarkets to restrict the number of certain products that can be bought. This echoes additional research across 10 markets that consumers expect businesses to step-up and help tackle the outbreak.
