“A Life for Dakota” is an NGO dedicated to promoting a preventive culture of diseases through the use of vaccinations, and to contribute to making vaccines accessible for the entire population. In 2014, reports from epidemiologists from the Peruvian Ministry of Health’s establishments informed of the increase of chickenpox cases; however, the authorities did not consider chickenpox as a health issue, and so the vaccine was not a part of the national immunization plan.
