There are approximately 250 million individuals worldwide who have non-standard speech, which poses challenges for effective communication and understanding. However, the current situation is concerning, particularly in India, where the population exceeds a billion, but the number of registered speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and scientists is only around 4,000.

This situation presents a significant opportunity for advancements in speech technology.
