Samsung: Black Friday – level up your deal

Samsung, a tech brand, launched a gamified campaign across Europe on Black Friday to encourage consumers to shop in its online store as opposed to via e-commerce platforms.

Campaign Summary

Black Friday is the highlight of Samsung's promotional calendar. However, as online shoppers tend to flock to major e-retailers and ignore brand stores, a significant portion of the profit margin goes to the e-retailers - a problem for Samsung's own online store.

So, we turned shoppers into gamers and let them play their way to the next level of deals. Additional discounts could be earned online and retro arcade machines in large shopping centers and redeemed immediately in the online store.

Thanks to gamification, the campaign has proven that Samsung's online store was able to regain market share...
