Amazon and Google are focusing their smart speaker businesses outside of the United States, according to the latest data from Canalys. Over one-half (55%) of all Google smart speaker shipments were to international markets in Q2 2019, up from 42% in Q2 2018.
Amazon saw particularly strong expansion outside of the United States. International markets accounted for one-third (32%) of all shipments in Q2 2018, rising to one-half (50%) this year.
